Hybrid Waters FAQ about dogfood
1. What brand of food do you feed your pack?
We actually feed “Prey-Model” another form of RAW… Prey-Model is the diet that one tries to feed as
closely as possible of which a wild canine would eat.. Prey-Model consists of Whole Rabbits, Chickens…and so on, Its
a lot like RAW but you feed whole (feathers/fur…everything)
We Also Feed Fruits and Veggies (potatoes are some of their favorites)
2. If you didn’t feed “Prey-Model” what would you feed?
For Dog food, Some of them get unlimited Orijen.
3. What other brands would you feed or recommend?
Other then Orijen I would have to say,
Horizon Legacy,
Innova EVO,
Wellness Core(which we have used awhile
back),
Acana(made by the same company of Orijen),
Before Grain (fed one of the cat’s this, she seemed to have
done really well on it-we haven’t tried the dogfood),
I have not used all of the brands above. There may also be way better brands out there, But Its just what I’ve
heard of and what I know about.
4. What Brands of Dog Food would you stay away from?
There has been people who’ve had wonderful things happen with their dog and these brands, BUT to me its like you
going to McDonalds everyday… You can live on it, but its not very healthy.. These brands I DO NOT recommend. Remember,
what you feed is your personal choice(and if your dog will eat it!) In No Particular Order:
Beneful, Diamond, Eukanuba, Friskies come and get it dogfood, Hills Science Diet, Iams, Kibbles n bits, Loyall, Nutra
Nuggets, Nutrience, Pedigree, Pro Plan, Purina, Purina one,, Ol’Roy, Purina Veterinary, Royal Canin, Cesar, Medi-Cal,
Nutro Max/natural,
There are plenty of “garbage” brands out there. It is up to you to decide what you want to feed your dog(s),
These brands that I have listed above, Are what “I” find garbage. Its my personal preference. What you feed, is
what YOU feed.
5. Why “Prey-Model” Over Dog Food?
Less mess, no stinky “mess”, their “mess” dissolves right away, No additives/preservatives, Plaque
free teeth/gums, better breath, whiter teeth, less shedding, less doggy odder.. J Many More reasons J
Three days after we switched we saw a HUGE difference! If you can pull this off, There are so many helpful people out
there who are willing to help, and talk about this.. As a matter of fact, all “prey-model”, RAW, B.A.R.F, feeders
would LOVE to tell you about it! All I can say is this is the best thing we’ve done, and we’ve been seeing HUGE
improvements.
6. Is there any “bad” things that come from feeding prey-model?
You have a freezer full of whole chickens, rabbits, hearts, liver.. But even still, its so worth it J
7. If I were to get a puppy from you, Would We have to feed raw/prey-model?
No, We do not expect this, We will recommend what we believe is the best food, and will benefit you in the long run,
and what we think will give your puppy a long and healthy life
8. How important is a good quality food compared to a lower quality food?
Very Good Question! Again, you can survive off of “McDonalds” Doesn’t mean you’ll live a healthy
life! As a fact many many things will go wrong with you when you get older, I’m not saying feeding a low quality food
will give your dog problems when he’s older, what I’m saying is they can survive off of it, Even though they’re
not getting all of their nutrition, and needs, They can still survive. But why feed them this garbage and allow them to lack
all the vitamins, and nutrition? Its your choice in what you feed your dog, what you pick up at the store. I believe a good
quality food for your dog is VERY important for the entire life of all stages! There is so much to benefit from a better quality
food.
